How to commission a painting
- Contact me via the contact form, please include any information and ideas you have
- I will get back to you to discuss details (size, price, composition, style, timeframe)
- Upon agreement you will pay a deposit of 40 € to 70 € (depending on the size)
- For bigger paintings or difficult compositions, I will prepare a study to discuss with you if you’d like any changes
- I will let you know when I will have your painting finished and when it will be shipped
- You will pay the remaining money upon completion of the painting and when no changes are required
Reference pictures
You can send me various pictures of your family member, friend, pet, … The best reference pictures are taken from a nice angle, are sharp, and in proper lighting (it shows shadows and lights).
Duration and care
Depending on if a study is necessary and the size of the painting, it takes 4-8 weeks until I finish your painting. In the end I apply a layer of varnish to protect your painting and will ship it to you then.
How to take care of your painting? The varnish protects the paintings, still please handle with care. Dedust gently or, if necessary, wipe with a damp, lint-free cloth. Protect from direct sunlight and avoid touching the paintings surface, if possible.
Payment and shipping
After the initial deposit upon agreement, you will pay the remaining money upon completion of the painting. Shipping costs depend on the size and destination and are included for the sizes in the table below.
Certificate of authenticity and instructions for care will be included.
Pricing and sizes
I paint on canvas and wooden boards, hence the prices vary depending on size and underground
Simple wooden/canvas board: Thin board, which is easy to frame and hang.
Canvas/wooden board – framed: Traditional canvas or wooden board on an 1.9 cm wooden frame.
While the wooden surfaces are smooth, canvas has more texture since it cotton or linnen fabrics are used. Please choose whichever you like most.
